UBS Fund Management announces an initial public offering for its real estate fund UBS (CH) Property Fund Europe. The listing on the SIX Swiss Exchange, planned for November, is intended to open the existing portfolio to the public and thus also to non-qualified investors, according to the fund management company. UBS Fund Management plans to announce further details on the IPO, including the exact listing date, at the end of September or beginning of October.

The fund was launched as a European real estate fund under Swiss law in May 2018 and is expected to be built into a pan-European flagship product over the long term, UBS said. Currently, UBS (CH) Property Fund Europe holds 12 existing properties of various use types, including residential, logistics, office and retail, in different European real estate markets. According to UBS Fund Management, the properties are almost fully leased, and the tenant base consists of creditworthy tenants, some of which are state-owned. The leases are indexed to a very high degree and thus largely protected against inflation. (ah)
