Markus Schürch is to become the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobimo and succeed Peter Schaub. Schaub has served on the Board of Directors for the past 18 years and has headed it since 2019. He is no longer standing for re-election, Mobimo announced. Schürch was born in 1971 and has been a member of Mobimo's Board of Directors since 2024. He has been CFO of the internationally active and listed building technology specialist Belimo since 2018 and previously worked for the energy technology specialist Landis + Gyr for 14 years. An earlier position was at the consulting firm McKinsey. Schürch holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zurich.

Sophie Dubuis to complete the VR

The Board of Directors is also proposing to the shareholders that Sophie Dubuis be elected to the Board of Directors, meaning that the Board will remain seven members even after Schaub's departure. «Following the election of Sophie Dubuis, the Board will consist of a majority of women for the first time», Mobimo writes in a press release. Dubuis (born in 1974) has been a self-employed management consultant and independent board member of several companies in French-speaking Switzerland since 2022, including the listed Banque Cantonale de Genève and the Migros Cooperative Geneva, where she is Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, she held various operational management positions in the hospitality and retail sectors. «With these nominations, the planned renewal of the Board of Directors will be completed after the Annual General Meeting on March 31, 2026,» Mobimo announced.

Promotional business exceeds expectations

Along with the personnel changes, Mobimo is providing an update on its promotional business in the second half of the year. The company speaks of «strong sales progress in the ongoing condominium projects». In the Edenblick project in Oberägeri, the first three of ten houses were handed over to the owners in October and sales contracts have now been notarized for 47 of a total of 79 units in the Burgmatt project in Merlischachen. This project is expected to be completed in Q1 2027. Mobimo has also reported further notarizations for the Feuerfalter project in Niederwangen/Köniz, where six more units have been sold since June. Three units have been notarized at the Beaumont project in Lausanne since the start of the first half of the year. The success from development and sales promotion for the financial year is therefore above the communicated targets and will exceed the result for the first half of the year (CHF 24.6 million). «In the 2026 financial year, income from developments and sales promotion should then be back in line with the long-term guidance of CHF 20+ million,» the company said.
