The plans for the development of the Spinnerei site in Baar (ZG) are becoming more concrete. The indicative project has now been presented.

The Spinnerei site on the Lorze has belonged to the Patrimonium Investment Foundation and the Patrimonium Swiss Real Estate Fund since 2015. It is to be developed and turned into a diverse quarter. The plan is for a good 700 people to live on the Spinnerei site in the future. In addition to the apartments, existing areas for local businesses will be retained. New additions include a hotel, offices and cultural, leisure and educational facilities.

The indicative project is by lilin architekten and Lorenz Eugster Landschaftsarchitektur. According to the design, the listed spinning mill forms the centre of the development, and to the north of it, facing Langgasse, is the large Henggeler Square. Here there will be cafés, restaurants and shops. The majority of the apartments - both affordable units for families and spacious apartments are planned - will be located on the quieter south side of the site. The parking spaces will be moved underground.

The development plan will be revised on the basis of the indicative project, and the zoning plan will also have to be amended. Both amendments are due to come before the municipal assembly in the summer of 2022. (ah)
