Canton Lucerne honours building culture
This year, the Canton of Lucerne wants to award outstanding projects in the fields of urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture and infrastructure that were realized and completed between 2005 and 2016.

With this award, the canton of Lucerne wants to make a visible contribution to the public perception of building culture. At the same time, it would promote awareness and discussion of the need for quality construction among private and public developers, politicians and society.
The award takes particular account of the criteria of urban design, architecture, open space, living space, integration and infrastructure. A five-member, top-class jury evaluates the submitted dossiers. The members are Patrick Gmür (Gmür & Gschwentner Architekten), Eva Keller (Keller Hubacher Architekten), Rita Illien (Müller Illien Landschaftsarchitekten), Jürg Conzett (Conzett Bronzini Partne) and the Lucerne cantonal architect Hans-Urs Baumann.
Project partners are the city of Lucerne, the municipality of Emmen, the professional associations SIA, BSA, BSLA and IHS, and the Lucerne School of Engineering & Architecture.
