St. Gallen: Foundation stone laid for city quarter
HRS is building 207 apartments in seven apartment buildings for Swiss Life.
At Lindenstrasse 75 to 83, Werkstrasse 2 and Helvetiastrasse 45 to 47, in the immediate vicinity of St. Gallen St. Fiden railroad station, a new urban quarter is being built under the project name "Lindental". As total contractor, HRS is developing and building seven apartment buildings with 207 apartments, including 19 studio apartments. The plans also include two outdoor spaces and are aimed at a mixed mix of residents. Communal areas will be created on the first floor and on the roofs, and four of the seven buildings will also have space for restaurants and public-oriented small businesses.
The development started in spring 2021 with a study contract. Following demolition and remediation, construction work began in May 2025. Staggered completion is scheduled for fall 2027 to January 2028. The project is being implemented entirely according to BIM (Building Information Modeling).
The foundation stone was laid a few days ago. Swiss Life and the Swiss Life Investment Foundation are the developers of the project. (aw)
