Zurich: Baumuster-Centrale with new management and address
The Zurich exhibition of building materials, prototypical constructions and construction technologies opens on the SBB workshop site with a new managing director.

Stefan Baumberger is stepping down as Managing Director of Schweizer Baumuster-Centrale Zürich (SBCZ) after nine years. He has worked for the SBCZ since 2013 and took over as Managing Director in 2016. On October 1, architect Eva Meisinger will take over the management of SBCZ. She has international experience from working in Austria, Italy and Switzerland and most recently managed the Swiss branch of an international architecture firm. She takes up her new position at a new SBCZ location: Growing public interest meant that the premises on Weberstrasse were increasingly reaching their limits. "Thanks to consistently positive business results, the decisive step to relocate to Hohlstrasse 420 was initiated last fall," writes SBCZ.
The move to Werkstadt Zürich, the former SBB workshop site, marks the beginning of a new chapter in SBCZ's 90-year history. On a single level of 670 square meters and with a height of 4 meters, the SBCZ has new spatial possibilities.
