Akara Funds: Ingrid Deltenre appointed to the Board of Directors

The shareholders of Akara Funds AG have appointed Ingrid Deltenre, Swiss Director of the Year 2019, as a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Dr. Urs Hausmann (previous member of the Board of Directors) was newly elected as Vice Chairman.

The shareholders of Akara Funds AG have appointed Ingrid Deltenre as a member of the Board of Directors. Deltenre (*1960, dual citizen of Switzerland and the Netherlands) is a member of the Board of Directors of renowned companies in Switzerland and abroad and was awarded the "Swiss Board Member of the Year" award in 2019, according to Akara Funds AG.

Since 2017, Deltenre has been focusing on board mandates in order to contribute her expertise in the areas of marketing, digitalisation, ESG (environmental, social and governance) and human resources. She is a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post DHL and the Boards of BCV Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, Givaudan, Sunrise and AFP Agence France Press. She is also Chairman of the Executive MBA Board of the University of Zurich, a member of the Board of Trustees of Schweizer Berghilfe and President of the Swiss Mountain Aid Council.

Previously, Ingrid Deltenre was Director of Swiss Television SRF and then Director General of the Eurovision European Broadcasting Union). Deltenre studied education, journalism and biological anthropology at the University of Zurich and furthered her education at the Wharton Business School in Financial Management and at the Harvard Business School in Media Strategies.

Dr. Dr. Urs Hausmann (*1966, Swiss, former member of the Board of Directors), was newly appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akara Funds AG. He is an independent management consultant with a focus on strategy development, multi-board member, author of non-fiction books and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Akara Funds AG since the foundation of Akara in 2016.
