Property Services and Cleaning are the highest revenue segments, according to ISS, with 41% and 37% respectively. Financial services and IT companies account for the largest share among customers with 38% - followed by pharmaceuticals (19%), industry and manufacturing (8%), transportation and infrastructure (8%).

With 44%, the region with the highest sales is North-South with Basel, Bern, Espace Mittelland, Aargau and Ticino, followed by French-speaking Switzerland (29%) and the Eastern region with 27% (Zurich, Eastern and Southeastern Switzerland).

"The 2018 financial year was challenging due to ongoing cost pressures in the customer environment, but overall performed above expectations," says André Nauer, CEO of ISS Switzerland. The revenue increase of more than CHF 20 million was due to business successes across the catchment area, high customer loyalty, service innovations in the context of digitalization and a dedicated team performance, Nauer added. Across Switzerland, ISS acquired around 30 new customers last year, while at the same time extending and expanding contracts with existing customers.

Going forward, ISS Switzerland expects to be able to increase its market share as companies in the financial, public sector, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors increasingly outsource support processes as a result of ongoing cost pressure. (ah)
