After 16 years as CEO of the Swiss Life Investment Foundation, Stephan Thaler will hand over the reins to Sonja Spichtig Grünvogel, who joins the company from Swisscanto, in October. Thaler will work as a Senior Advisor for the Swiss Life Investment Foundation until his normal retirement in 2027, Swiss Life writes in a press release. Grünvogel will report directly to Robin van Berkel, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Swiss Life Asset Managers, and will be based in Zurich.

Spichtig Grünvogel has been Managing Director of Swisscanto Investment Foundations at Swisscanto Fund Management since December 2016. She previously held management positions at Bank J. Safra Sarasin. She began her professional career with a banking apprenticeship at Credit Suisse in Sarnen. She holds a degree in economics from the University of Zurich and is a certified pension fund manager.

Hermann Inglin, Chairman of the Swiss Life Investment Foundation, says that Thaler has made a significant contribution to the Investment Foundation's current success. "I am delighted that he will continue to support us in the future with his know-how and experience as Senior Advisor". (aw)
