The SFP Group is developing the Ronchetto district in Lugano and has reported progress on the project. According to a press release, the first renovated apartments and commercial spaces are ready for occupation and letting is proceeding successfully. «Thanks to clever phasing, high tenant retention and sustainable planning, the district remains vibrant during the construction period,» writes Swiss Finance and Property in a press release.

According to the information provided, acceptance of the communal areas, 13 apartments and one commercial space at Via Ronchetto 20a took place on October 20. Acceptance is scheduled for November 17 for the remaining eleven apartments at Via Torricelli 25. Almost all of the units already on offer in Block B have been let, according to reports. Only three apartments are currently still available.

A total of 166 residential units

Of a total of 166 apartments in the quarter, 54 have already been signed with tenancy agreements and a further eleven have been reserved. Several existing tenants are moving into temporary accommodation in the neighborhood during the construction period and will return to their renovated apartments once the work is complete.

The quarter is being redeveloped in blocks of six buildings. The blocks are spread across the area between Via Ronchetto and Via Torricelli. According to the plan, the overall renovation of the district should be completed by the end of 2028. The SFP Group has owned the district since 2017. (aw)
