Bergbahnen Scuol SA and Halter AG have signed a purchase rights agreement for the development of the land of the former Engadinerhof. "A forward-looking project will revitalize the area and strengthen the location in the long term," Halter writes in a press release. The plan is to build a hotel with around 130 rooms. The additional tourist offer is intended to support year-round occupancy and create additional added value for the region. The hotel will be complemented by staff apartments and tourist apartments as well as primary and secondary residences for local residential needs. The architectural concept envisages a publicly accessible outdoor space that connects the site with the town. Underground parking spaces are to be created.

The signing of the contract marks the start of implementation under planning law. A project-related partial revision of the land use plan and the development of a design plan are planned. This will be based on an indicative project that Halter intends to develop in consultation with the municipality of Scuol over the next few months. The planning application could be submitted in mid-2028.
