Ecoreal appoints CFO
Beat Bachmann will be responsible for finances at the Investment Foundation from September 1.

The Ecoreal Investment Foundation has appointed Beat Bachmann as its new CFO. He will take up his post on September 1. The business economist HWV with further training in leadership, risk management and controlling held management positions at Schaffhauser Kantonalbank (SHKB) for around two decades, most recently as Head of Finance and Development. From the end of 2022, Beat Bachmann was a member of the Executive Board of the fintech company Swissquant Group. According to the press release, Bachmann brings with him expertise in the areas of service and process digitalization as well as organizational development. At Ecoreal, he will drive forward the digital transformation in addition to the traditional tasks of a CFO. With the appointment of the new CFO, all central tasks in the foundation's own management will now be taken on, it says.
CFO tasks were previously outsourced
The previous CFO, Stephan Flückiger, had been working for the real estate investment foundation on a mandate basis since 2009. "For several years, Ecoreal has pursued the strategy of performing all central tasks within the foundation's own management and not outsourcing any relevant core competencies," writes the company. With his work as Chief Financial Officer, Flückiger has "made a significant contribution to building up the real estate portfolio to over CHF 2 billion and to Ecoreal's reputation as a reliable and financially well-positioned organization", says Christian Felix, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
