The concept, which covers a maximum of 80 square meters and which Migros is using to compete with kiosks, is being rolled out at railroad stations for the first time.

Until now, the format has only been available at petrol stations. Further locations at transport hubs are reportedly planned by the end of 2026. Up to 2,000 items are offered on a maximum sales area of 80 square meters with long opening hours.

The first "Mio" store went online in 2020, and the small format is now represented at 56 petrol stations. Migros also wants to grow with the format at petrol stations. The slightly larger Migrolino concept is already available at over 50 train stations in Switzerland. (aw)
