Retail: Marché introduces new gastro concepts
Marché International, which is part of the Mövenpick Group, is launching two new gastronomy concepts called "Brezel Fritz" and "White Monkey". This is reported by the "Handelszeitung" in its current issue.

With "Brezel Fritz," which has already been launched in Germany, Marché International is responding to the trend of fast-food baked goods consumption, according to the Handelszeitung. With "White Monkey," the company wants to move into the Italian restaurant market. The first restaurant of this brand is to open in Leipzig in September. According to the newspaper report, Marché International also wants to bring both concepts to Switzerland.
Marché International operates gastronomy outlets in high-frequency locations such as freeways and airports under the Marché, Cindy's Diner, Mövenpick Restaurants, Marché Mövenpick and Palavrion Grill brands. In 2014, the company generated sales of CHF 249 million. It operates in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Norway, Hungary, Croatia, Singapore, Indonesia and Canada and employs 2,831 people.
