With 46 chairs, it will be able to transport 2,400 people per hour and replace the old Alpsu ski lift. This is the only lift in the entire project to be built on the territory of the canton of Graub\u00fcnden. The new chairlift will open for the 2016\/17 ski season.<\/p>\n<p>Next summer, the snow-making facilities in the Tiarms - Clamut and Oberalp Pass area as well as on the Gurschen - Andermatt valley run are also to be realised. Construction work is also scheduled to start on the Andermatt - N\u00e4tschen - G\u00fctsch gondola lift and the Unter Stafel - G\u00fctsch chairlift.<\/p>\n<p>The overall project for the Andermatt-Sedrun ski area connection involves the construction of a total of 14 transport facilities, ten of which are in the first stage. At the same time, the snow-making facilities, pistes and restaurants will also be expanded.<\/p>\n<p>Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG is a subsidiary of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG and operates the current ski areas of Gemsstock, N\u00e4tschen-G\u00fctsch and Sedrun-Oberalp. In the coming years, ASS plans to invest around CHF 130 million (1st stage) to link, modernise and expand the two ski areas of Andermatt and Sedrun to over 120 kilometres of pistes.
