The B\u00fcrgenstock Hotels &amp; Resorts has also announced that the staff houses, squares and viewing terraces will be completed by then.<\/p>\n<p>The 3-star Hotel Taverne 1879, the Blockhaus, the Spycher, a 9-hole golf course, the Hammetschwand lift and the Felsenweg trail are already open. The opening of the 5-star Waldhotel - Health &amp; Medical Excellence with restaurant will follow in the fall. The 10,000 square meter Alpine Spa with restaurant is also due to open then. The grand opening of the new B\u00fcrgenstock Resort will take place in spring 2018.<\/p>\n<h2>Connections by boat, bus and car<\/h2>\n<p>From spring 2018, a shuttle boat will connect the resort with the city of Lucerne every hour. From then on, the journey time from Lucerne railroad station to the B\u00fcrgenstock Resort will be reduced to around 30 minutes. The resort can also be reached by bus from Stansstad railroad station. The resort offers a total of 700 outdoor and indoor parking spaces. However, the resort is car-free.<\/p>\n<p>The B\u00fcrgenstock Resort is due to be fully operational in 2020 and will then employ around 800 people. The resort is expected to generate CHF 100 million in revenue in three to four years, according to a spokesperson for the operating company. CHF 550 million has been invested in the resort on the B\u00fcrgenstock. The most important guest group is expected to be the Swiss, with a share of 50 to 60 percent.
