Swiss Post and Zentralbahn want to implement the \"Engelberg Zentral\" project by SSA Architekten from Basel, which was the winner of a test planning in 2015. It envisages a four-story, L-shaped station head building on Bahnhofplatz and Erlenweg as well as four other buildings. Three of them are to be residential buildings, the fourth is planned as a hotel in the lower price segment.<\/p>\n

As Michael Sch\u00fcrch, CEO of Zentralbahn, said at an information event, much is still open regarding the use. Talks are underway with various potential users and investors, such as food wholesalers and the tourism organization. Construction will be carried out in stages, with work on the station head building scheduled to begin in 2019.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
