The new 25hours Hotel Langstrasse has been in operation since April 1. It is located at the corner of Langstrasse and Lagerstrasse on construction site H of Europaallee. The hotel comprises 170 guest rooms in five different categories, which cost from CHF 270 per night. The first floor of the building also houses the NENI restaurant and the Cinchona bar. NENI offers 100 indoor seats and another 100 seats on a terrace overlooking Langstrasse.<\/p>\n

The striking hotel building was designed by the architectural firm E2A. In 2010, the Zurich-based firm won the competition for the design of the entire Baufeld H site, which by the end of the year will also be home to office space, a cinema and the premises of a private school in addition to the hotel.<\/p>\n

Creative interior design<\/h2>\n

The interior design of the new 25hours Hotel was the responsibility of Berlin designer Werner Aisslinger, who has already helped design the group's Berlin house. Under the working title \"Pocket Universe,\" he designed a collage of Swiss and international influences; among others, the local Kein&Aber publishing house curates the hotel kiosk, and the bag label Freitag presents an unusual installation of its products.<\/p>\n

Another special feature of the hotel is the \"Artist in Residence\" project curated by Zurich-based art educator Esther Eppstein. A hotel-owned studio is to be made available on a regular basis to international artists from various styles. As models for this project, 25hours CEO Christoph Hoffmann cites houses such as the Chelsea Hotel in New York or the Colombe D'Or in St.Paul de Vence.<\/p>\n

The 25hours Hotel Company was founded in 2005 by Stephan Gerhard, Ardi Goldman, Christoph Hoffmann and Kai Hollmann. The company now operates eight hotels in German-speaking countries, with four more openings in the pipeline: Munich this year, and Paris, D\u00fcsseldorf and Cologne next year. In fall 2016, the company formed a strategic alliance with AccorHotels and is now pursuing hotel projects worldwide.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
