A new working environment is being created for around 600 employees. RBSGROUP's workplace experts are supporting the planning of the future Z\u00fchlke headquarters and developing new office space together with the client.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conversion from next year<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The building and industrial complex, some of which are 30 years old and owned by Swiss Prime Site (SPS) AG, will be converted and renovated from 2018. Startups, research institutions and cultural venues will also be able to use the former industrial site near Schlierem train station in the future, \"transforming it into an innovative and flexible working environment,\" according to a Drees &amp; Sommer media release.<\/p>\n<p>Z\u00fchlke is relocating its headquarters to the old printing center due to the growing number of employees and the associated increase in space requirements. The company is planning new offices, meeting rooms, lounge areas as well as laboratories and a staff restaurant in the 18-meter-high rotogravure hall of the old NZZ printing plant. Four intermediate floors will be inserted in the hall, so that the new floors thus created will accommodate all Z\u00fchlke employees who have so far been working at two locations in Schlieren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshops for Workplace Design<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\"Transforming the former industrial hall into an attractive office landscape is an exciting challenge. Our goal: to retain the loft charm of the industrial halls while creating a modern and flexible working environment,\" says Constanze Weihs, senior project partner at RBSGROUP. Together with Z\u00fchlke, the company developed a site strategy, the result of which is the choice of the future headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>As the project progresses, RBSGROUP's experts analyze the user requirements as well as the space program. To this end, they lead a series of workshops: In addition to the concept for the new working environment, the focus is also on workplace design. On the one hand, they examine which workplace forms - whether individual offices, team islands or multi-zones - will be needed in the future. Secondly, the experts are planning the interior design of the premises.
