In the twentieth year since entering the Swiss market, nine new stores will be opened and four locations expanded, which means an increase in space of 10,500 square meters to a total sales area of around 91,000 square meters, according to the company from Ulm in Swabia. Never before has the company grown so quickly in the Swiss Confederation. This growth has also been boosted by three reclassifications of branches of the acquired Carl Weber toy chain, namely in Zug, Zurich-Altstetten and Bahnhofplatz in Zurich. Further new stores are opened in Wittenbach, in the Spitzacker shopping center, in Zurich-Wiedikon, Matran, Winterthur, Aarau, Conthey, Romanel-sur-Lausanne and Affoltern am Albis.<\/p>\n<p>The largest store remains Spitalgasse 23 in Berne with a sales area of 1,935 square meters on seven levels. The smallest store is located in Zermatt with around 232 square meters. One of the largest new openings of the past year took place in November at Erlenstrasse 40 in Br\u00fcgg on 1,500 square meters.<\/p>\n<p>According to M\u00fcller, nine of Carl Weber's original 22 locations have been closed, while the Chur and Bern locations were already converted into M\u00fcller stores last year. <em>(aw)<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of nine new stores will be opened this year and four will be expanded.
