The Swiss Federal Commission for the Protection of Nature and Cultural Heritage (ENHK) has given Romanshorn's plans for the redesign of the harbour promenade, including the hotel project, a positive assessment. This was announced by the town on Lake Constance.
\nA good three years ago, the town of Romanshorn and the Lake Constance shipping company SBS, which was the investor, selected a winning project. It came from the architects Tom Munz and Rita Mettler and Marek Langner from Mettler Landschaftsarchitektur AG. The plans include a hotel, an infrastructure building, an underground car park and landscaping measures for the surrounding area. The project is being developed by Hess Investment AG from Amriswil, with shipping company SBS AG as the final investor. The partners now want to press ahead with the project and submit the design plan to the canton for approval as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

Before the design plan can be approved, however, the decision of the administrative court on the framework utilization plan of the town of Romanshorn must be awaited. An appeal has been lodged against harbor zones 1 and 2, which form the legal basis for the design plan. Due to the adjustments made to the project after the first consultation, a new public consultation is also required. The information event is planned for the fall.<\/p>\n
