The Hamasil Foundation has lodged an appeal against the construction decision for the two buildings \"Prime 1\" and \"Prime 3\" planned by logistics company Welti-Furrer on its site on Pfingstweidstrasse in Zurich-West. The foundation, which is entitled to appeal as a local resident, complains about \"two oversized and architecturally and urbanistically deficient buildings\" that would detract from the character of the neighborhood around the Hardbr\u00fccke center. The foundation is of the opinion that the plans violate legal regulations in terms of zoning conformity, design, utilization, open spaces and climate compatibility and is calling for alternative uses to be examined for this area.<\/p>\n

The Welti-Furrer site is centrally located on Pfingstweidstrasse, right next to Hardbr\u00fccke station and the Maag site. The Hamasil Foundation has already lodged an appeal against Swiss Prime Site's current plans for the site (IB reported)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Welti-Furrer has already realized one of three planned projects on its property. In the new \"Prime 2\" office building with 18,000 square meters of office space on six floors the auditor Deloitte has already moved in<\/a>. The two other planned properties are reportedly of a similar design and size. In addition to parking spaces and office space, one-bedroom apartments are planned. The Hamasil Foundation criticizes the fact that the first floor will not be used for gastronomy, culture or stores and will therefore \"hardly contribute anything to the revitalization and quality of stay\".
