As Andermatt's gateway to the ski area, this lift is of particular importance. The start of construction represents not only the merger of the ski areas, but also the modernization of the facilities, writes the company in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>On September 26, construction of the gondola lift officially began. The groundbreaking ceremony in Andermatt is also valid for the construction of the G\u00fctsch mountain station, the Oberalpsee pump house and various slopes and snow-making facilities. Depending on the weather, the bottom station will be completed this year.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom station is directly connected to the Andermatt train station by a passenger underpass with a moving walkway, and the ski slope leads directly to the turnstile of the new gondola lift.
