With the Rocket and Tigerli project, the last Lokstadt building site 4b is being developed; Implenia is realizing the buildings on behalf of Ina Invest. According to the real estate company, a design by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects from Copenhagen and Cometti Truffer Hodel Architects from Lucerne won the study contract. According to Ina Invest, the concept \"convinces with versatile qualities and forms an outstanding architectural conclusion to the development of the site\".<\/p>\n

Along the outer flanks of the construction field, the planners are placing several free-standing buildings, and the Rocket high-rise will be built at the central dialog square. With a total height of 100 meters, Rocket is currently the world's tallest residential building made of wood in planning. Implenia, together with ETH Zurich and Walt Galmarini, developed the wooden structure specifically for high-rise buildings; it will be encased in terracotta facades. A large inner courtyard with green islands is also planned between the buildings.<\/p>\n

According to Ina Invest, the Rocket high-rise will feature 32 floors of multifaceted apartments. Student and non-profit housing is planned for the Tigerli, in addition, part of the Radisson Red Hotel is housed here.<\/a> According to Ina Invest, this hotel building is oriented towards the Lokstadt halls, which are protected as historic monuments, and will be connected to the hotel section there via an industrial walkway.<\/p>\n
