The competition program also incorporated ideas that interested parties from the cooperative and the neighborhood had worked out together. \"Esperanto\" consists of three buildings. In addition to 48 apartments (ranging from 1.5-room apartments to hall apartments of up to 300 square meters), they include boarding rooms, a restaurant, a bistro, sales and service areas, and common rooms. The apartments are rented according to the principle of cost rent.<\/p>\n<p>The Kalkbreite cooperative plans to submit the building application in the fall of 2016, with construction scheduled to begin in 2018 and occupancy in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Since the municipal properties are located in the industrial district (district 5), but the SBB parcel belongs to Aussersihl (district 4), the city district boundary will now run along the southern side of the site.
