The study examined hotel bookings made via the two sites <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotel.de\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.hotel.de\" rel=\"noopener\">www.hotel.de<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotel.info\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.hotel.info\" rel=\"noopener\">www.hotel.info<\/a> were made in the comparative month of March. All bookings in 1- to 5-star hotels in the respective cities are included in the average price shown.<\/p>\n<p>With a room rate of just over CHF 230 (-2.2%), overnight stays in Geneva remained the most expensive, followed by Basel at CHF 197 (-2.1%). In Zurich, prices fell by 2.4 percent to CHF 167.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight accommodation costs decreased most significantly in Lucerne, where the average room rate fell by 15 percent to CHF 120. In Lausanne, prices fell by 13 percent to 156 CHF. According to the study, only in Bern did overnight costs rise in contrast to the previous year.
