According to plans by Hiag Immobilien Holding, 1,400 to 1,800 jobs will one day be created on the 75,000-square-meter Reichhold site between Hausen and Lupfig. Hiag took over the site, which was formerly home to a cement plant and later chemical plants and is now largely derelict, in 2012. The remediation of contaminated sites is currently underway, and the design plan process for the site is scheduled to start in 2021. At that time, the search will also be on for users.<\/p>\n

According to Hiag, representative buildings are to be erected on the site along the main road, with larger commercial buildings planned behind them. Data centers, hotel uses or the sale of everyday goods with a net shop area of a maximum of 500 square meters would be possible.
