It shows that mobility will increase by 2030 and how the additional traffic can be handled in a sustainable manner. The concept also defines various measures for settlement development with local planning as well as development and design plans.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to handle existing traffic and the additional traffic in the future in a sustainable manner - to this end, public transport, walking and cycling in particular are to be strengthened. The challenge lies in the fact that the capacity of the roads will not be sufficient for the expected increase in traffic by 2030, which would lead to correspondingly longer traffic jams without measures. \"The entire bypass system and the Lucerne through station will not be completed by 2030. With the forecast growth in mobility, solutions are therefore needed in the LucernePlus area to ensure that the attractiveness of the location is maintained in comparison with the rest of Switzerland,\" says Pius Z\u00e4ngerle, President of LucernePlus.<\/p>\n<p>The LuzernPlus delegates unanimously approved the GVK LuzernOst at the delegates' meeting on November 23, 2018. The official publication can therefore take place. If no referendum is held within 60 days, the GVK LuzernOst will become binding on the authorities for the seven municipalities of Buchrain, Dierikon, Ebikon, Gisikon, Honau, Inwil and Root. In the event of a referendum, the voters of all LuzernPlus municipalities will decide on the concept.<\/p>\n<p>At the delegates' meeting, Ebikon municipal councillor Hans Peter Bienz was also elected to the Board of LuzernPlus. The election of a replacement was triggered by the resignation of Susanne Truttmann-Hauri from the Emmer municipal council. Bienz is a non-party member and was elected for the remaining term of office from 2018 to 2019.
