The property in Hombrechtikon has an area of 12,134 square meters. On it there is a care center built in 1974 with 52 places as well as a retirement home built in 1978 with 20 one-room apartments and 13 two-room apartments.<\/p>\n

Ren\u00e9 Zahnd, CEO of Swiss Prime Site, says that Swiss Prime Site intends to acquire the property in building rights and sign a service agreement with the municipality of Hombrechtikon for operation by Tertianum. Instead of the current care center, a new building with around 65 places including a dementia ward is planned. The opening of the new building is planned for 2021.<\/p>\n

The retirement village is to be renovated in the next few years and will remain part of the range of housing for the elderly in Hombrechtik. It is planned that the current employees of the Breitlen residential and care center will continue to be employed by Tertianum.<\/p>\n

The citizens of Hombrechtikon will vote on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) on June 10. They have the choice between two variants: the PPP and independence. In this case, Hom'Care, the independent municipal institution that currently operates the Breitlen residential and nursing center, would be converted into the municipality-owned non-profit public limited company (GGA). The municipal council favors the PPP with Swiss Prime Site, particularly for cost reasons.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
