Zurich Invest: New Head of Real Estate

As the new Head of Real Estate at Zurich Invest Ltd, Renato Piffaretti has been responsible for the strategic direction of the division since August 11, 2025 and is helping to shape its further development. "With his many years of experience and deep understanding of the real estate business, Renato Piffaretti brings valuable expertise to our company," commented CEO Tom Osterwalder on the appointment. "I am convinced that in him we have found the ideal person for this key position."

Renato Piffaretti is well established in the Swiss real estate market thanks to his long career as an executive in real estate asset management, his extensive network and his profound market knowledge and has comprehensive knowledge of strategy and organizational development as well as asset and portfolio management. His expertise ranges from real estate management, transactions and valuations to development and construction. "Renato Piffaretti will bring fresh impetus and an entrepreneurial spirit to the targeted further development of our real estate division," says Osterwalder. "He will strengthen our market position."

Before joining Zurich Invest Ltd, Renato Piffaretti was Co-CEO of CSL Immobilien AG. Prior to that, he was Head Real Estate Switzerland at Swiss Life Asset Management Ltd, where he was responsible for the real estate portfolio. Further professional positions took him to Baloise Asset Management AG as Head of Real Estate and to UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG as Fund Manager.

Renato Piffaretti holds a "Master of Advanced Studies in Real Estate Management" from the Institute of Financial Services Zug and is a federally certified real estate valuer. He is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of the MAS Real Estate Management program at HWZ Zurich. (bw)
