Denner sees space for a further 120 stores
According to a newspaper interview, the new head of the Migros subsidiary still recognizes growth potential in the big cities.

Discount supermarket Denner wants to significantly expand its store network over the next few years. In an interview with "Blick", Torsten Friedrich, the new head of the Migros subsidiary, said: "We are planning to open 120 additional stores". The network should have around 1,000 locations by 2030. There is space for new openings, especially in the big cities, said Friedrich. He also announced that the CHF 200 million modernization programme for the 600 self-operated stores will be completed by 2027.
Friedrich moved to Denner at the beginning of 2025 from German competitor Lidl, where he ultimately held the position of Country Manager for Switzerland. (aw)
