Alpenda: New brand for Steiner Construction
The French parent company of the former Steiner construction company has made the old brand name disappear. Alpenda is headquartered in Tolochenaz (VD).

The French group Demathieu Bard has renamed the former construction subsidiary of the construction and real estate group Steiner. According to a press release, the former Steiner Construction is now called Alpenda. Demathieu Bard acquired the construction company in January last year (IB reported) - In other words, a few months before the Steiner Group had to apply for debt restructuring moratorium. This was the French company's largest acquisition to date, increasing the group of companies to almost 4,000 employees and a turnover of around CHF 2 billion.
Alpenda, which has a clear overall focus on French-speaking Switzerland, will be based in Tolochenaz (VD). The company has 200 employees and is active in the canton of Bern as well as in French-speaking Switzerland. According to the information provided, the focus is on commercial buildings such as offices, hotels, production facilities and hospitals.
