Ex-SIA Chief Joins Imhof Odinga
Joris Van Wezemael joins Imhof Odinga, a consulting firm specializing in spatial and area development, as a partner.
The economic geographer and architectural sociologist Joris van Wezemael was executive director of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA from July 2018 to January 2019. Then they parted company because of "irreconcilable differences regarding the realignment of the SIA and the corresponding organization of the office," as it was put at the time. Before joining the SIA, Van Wezemael headed a real estate investment foundation.
Since 2006 and to date, Van Wezemael has held various teaching, research and
consulting functions in the field of spatial and site development. He continues to teach and conduct research as Executive-in-Residence at ETH Zurich.
He will join Imhof Odinga as a partner in August. The company advises municipalities, owners and developers on inward settlement development. (ah)
