EBIT of the business units amounted to CHF 33.3 million - excluding amortization costs for the intangible assets (PPA) acquired in the course of the takeover of Bilfinger Construction. Compared with the same period last year, this represents an increase of 39 percent or CHF 9.3 million, Implenia reports. Including PPA, the divisions' EBIT came in at 28 million, compared with 15.4 million a year earlier (+81.5%). The operating result including PPA amounts to 19.5 million (previous year: 13.9 million).

Cash flow improved by almost CHF 50 million from CHF -194.8 million to CHF -145.6 million. In the previous year, the acquisition of Bilfinger Construction had had an impact of 86 million, Implenia said. Compared with the previous year, the financial result was lower because one-off foreign currency gains of CHF 3.5 million from the acquisition of Bilfinger Construction were no longer incurred.

Net profit improved by 14.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to CHF 9.2 million (previous year: 8 million). Order backlog at the end of June 2016 exceeded the previous year's figure by 23.4 percent, reaching CHF 5.2 billion (previous year: 4.2 billion)

Implenia also expects the result for 2016 as a whole to be above the previous year's level. The construction group is therefore sticking to its 2017 EBIT target of CHF 140 to 150 million. (ah)
