Buchrain: Patrimonium AST buys senior housing project
A project with 40 senior apartments and 48 care places is being built in Buchrain (LU). The operator is the Oase Group.

The Swiss healthcare real estate investment group of the Patrimonium Investment Foundation has made an investment with an investment volume of around CHF 33.1 million in the development of a senior center in the center of Buchrain (LU). Oase Buchrain, a center for the elderly with assisted living and care services, is being built on the former Tschannwiese site to close an existing care gap in the region.
The project comprises a total of 48 care places and 40 barrier-free senior apartments with 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 room units. The residential and care concept combines independent living with nursing and housekeeping services that are available around the clock. The offer is complemented by a public restaurant, communal and fitness rooms, physiotherapy and other health-related services.
Under construction since March
Construction officially began on March 20. The senior center is scheduled to open in spring 2028. «The project is being built under building rights on a centrally located plot of land and benefits from excellent accessibility and high demand for age-appropriate residential and care facilities in the Lucerne region». Writes the investment foundation. «We are delighted with the delivery of this project, which marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Patrimonium Investment Foundation and the operator Oase Group,» says portfolio manager Vivian Moreau.
Following this acquisition, the fair value of the investment group's portfolio amounts to over CHF 600 million.
