Wädenswil: Halter hands over Aupark to Swiss Life
The second stage of the Aupark residential development in Au-Wädenswil was handed over to Swiss Life at the end of March. The major project is now complete.

Halter has completed the Aupark residential development in Au-Wädenswil (ZH) on schedule. The second stage, which was handed over to the owner Swiss Life at the end of March, marks the completion of the overall project. Five apartment and commercial buildings with a total of 300 apartments, 106 of which are condominiums, have been built on the site on the left bank of Lake Zurich. There is also commercial space and a Coop store as a local supplier. Halter estimates the construction costs at CHF 145 million.
Halter, which acted as total contractor, condensed the original construction project and changed the mix of apartments. In an original version of the project, around 230 apartments were planned. In its now completed form, the development comprises 300 units. Part of the site - around 11,000 sqm - is not part of the Halter realization, but was acquired by the canton of Zurich for the construction of a cantonal school.
Intershop acquired the entire site in 2001 and initially continued to operate it as an industrial and commercial property. After more than ten years of project development, the development property was sold to Swiss Life for CHF 190 million in August 2022. (aw)
