Werthenstein: Procimmo buys company premises

The «Procimmo Real Estate SICAV - Industrial» has acquired the «Stewo Areal» in Wolhusen-Markt in the municipality of Werthenstein (LU). The industrial site with a total area of around 19,000 sqm previously belonged to Stewo International AG, which has discontinued its production and logistics activities at the site. The company continues to operate as a distribution company from Sursee. «The property is now completely vacant and available for a new use,» writes Procimmo in a press release.

The acquisition was financed by part of the funds raised by the subfund as part of the last capital increase. «The site mainly comprises industrial and warehouse space and offers significant potential for repositioning,» it says. As a first step, Procimmo SA plans to rent out commercial space - «in order to maintain local economic activity during the transition phase». In the long term, a mixed development comprising both residential and commercial space is planned. The municipalities of Wolhusen and Werthenstein have expressed their willingness in the media to work together with the new owner on the future development of the site, Procimmo added.
