At Ecoparc Cherpines in Confignon (GE), the foundation stone has been laid for Coofifi, a commercial real estate project with around 24,000 square meters of usable space spread over six floors. The building offers large halls of over 4,000 square meters each with a ceiling height of six meters as well as office and workshop space. The property is complemented by shared infrastructure such as logistics zones, a restaurant, meeting rooms and mobility facilities.

The property is operated by a non-profit cooperative under a 60-year building lease agreement. The financing model combines cooperative shares (10 %) with bank loans (90 %), secured by a guarantee from the FTI Foundation. The rents are CHF 160.0/sqm/year for halls and CHF 220/sqm/year for office space.

Coofifi focuses on modular architecture, sustainable building materials and local energy supply with a 3,600 sqm solar system and wood waste recycling. All spaces have already been taken, with more companies on the waiting list.

The Ecoparc Cherpines itself is an industrial area with over 100,000 square meters of gross floor space, which is geared towards inter-company synergies, joint use of resources and sustainable site development. (aw)
