Buchs: Building permit for "Tiglio" conversion project
Warteck Invest is investing 28 million Swiss francs in the conversion of two office buildings into 72 apartments.

Warteck Invest has received planning permission for the "Tiglio" construction project on Webereiweg and Weierweg in Buchs. The development will create 72 apartments in three buildings. These include 20 studios based on the "Movement" concept, which provides for electrically movable furniture. The plans were drawn up by Howald De Santis Architekten from Baden, with Halter acting as general contractor. "The architecture of 'Tiglio' stands for a new generation of residential buildings that carefully blend into the existing environment while setting accents in the transformation of office properties," says Warteck Invest, describing the objective of the project.
In addition, particular emphasis is placed on ecological quality and biodiversity in the outdoor spaces. The aim is to obtain certification from "Natur & Wirtschaft".
With "Tiglio", Warteck Invest is converting two existing office buildings for an investment of around CHF 28 million. Construction is scheduled to start in fall 2025, with first occupancy planned for spring 2027. Annual rental income of CHF 1.4 million is expected. (aw)
