Birr: Winning project for Logis Suisse development
The 130 apartments planned by the non-profit housing cooperative in the Aargau municipality are to be realized according to designs by Galli Rudolf Architekten.
Logis Swiss is developing a new residential estate in Birr (AG) by around 2029 with around 130 apartments, communal areas and other neighborhood-related uses. The site covers an area of around 12,500 square meters. With the aim of creating affordable living space in an "exemplary housing estate in terms of urban planning, architecture and ecology", a study commission process was carried out with five architectural firms. The competition was won by Galli Rudolf Architekten AG from Zurich and Stauffer Rösch Landschaftsarchitekten AG from Basel.
Logis Suisse acquired the corresponding plot in the center zone in 2020, with the investment volume most recently reported at CHF 62.7 million. (aw)
