The partial revision of the building and zoning regulations (BZO) "Harsplen" enables the traffic access to the Harsplen site from the adjacent Katzenschwanzstrasse to the west and not via Witikonerstrasse. The partial revision of the BZO was necessary because part of the required access area is currently located in the recreation zone and must be rezoned. For this purpose, about 130 square meters will be rezoned from the recreation zone to the residential zone, and at the same time the residential zone will be reduced by the same area in favor of the recreation zone, explains the city of Zurich.

Both plots of land concerned belong to the Swisscanto Investment Foundation, which intends to build a development with around 350 apartments there. A diverse range of apartments for different target groups and with communal uses is to be created. A study contract has already been carried out, Swisscanto is currently working on the construction project. (ah)
