Zurich: A "Sphinx" for Triemliplatz
Senn Development AG is planning a new 40-meter-high building on Zurich's Triemliplatz. The "Sphinx" high-rise, designed by Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin Architekten, will primarily provide residential space.

The filigree new building was granted the certificate of legal validity after no objections were received against it. The 40-metre-high building is expected to be completed in 2025 and will comprise 14 storeys of apartments as well as space for public-oriented businesses on the ground floor facing Triemliplatz. According to Senn, the floor plans and apartment sizes will vary depending on the location and create a diversified offering.
Triemliplatz occupies an important position in the urban structure of the city of Zurich. It lies at the foot of the Uetliberg, where the "city of the valley floor" merges into a more open hillside development. Coming from the Uetliberg, the square marks an important entrance to the city. According to the Building Committee of the City of Zurich, the high-rise building will provide an adequate urban design for this transition. The project is being built in the immediate vicinity of the Triemliplatz public transport hub and Zurich's largest hospital, and close to the Uetliberg running, hiking and mountain biking paradise.
