Zurich: Interim use for industrial hall on Werkstadt site
In the fall and winter of this year, the large industrial hall D South on the Werkstadt Zurich site will be rented out for events.
Operator Pointbreak is renting the 1,000-square-foot hall by the day for public and private events between Oct. 23 and Dec. 23, 2020. The industrial hall offers space for up to 300 guests and is equipped with event technology, the company said.
The 42,000-square-meter SBB Werkstadt site is located in the track area between Zurich's main train station and Altstetten and is one of the last large development areas in the city. Over the next few years, the site is to be developed from an industrial facility into a place for commercial and industrial innovation companies and start-ups, as well as a place for culture. (ah)
