Apleona takes over FM for Areal Rosental in Basel
The Finance Department of the Canton of Basel-Stadt has commissioned Apleona HSG Facility Management with facility management services at the Rosental site in Basel.
As of July 1, 2018, Apleona will provide technical, infrastructural and commercial FM services, including operation, maintenance and repair of the technical systems in the 15 office buildings and the common areas of the 4,700-square-meter site. According to Apleona, the contract also includes reception and on-call services, energy controlling services, security, cleaning and green space maintenance. In addition, Apleona is responsible for rental space inspections, correspondence with tenants and service providers, and budgeting for building maintenance costs.
The service contract has a term of four years with the option to renew four times for an additional year, Apleona says.
Immobilien Basel-Stadt acquired the Rosental site, which is located near the exhibition center and the Badischer Bahnhof train station, in 2016. In the next few years, the area is to be developed into a business location for internationally active companies and research institutions. To this end, the previously closed area is to be gradually opened up, and the construction of new areas for residential use and service offerings is also planned.
