Zurich: Coworking provider Spaces rents in Ambassador House
Spaces, a provider of coworking areas, rents 2,000 sqm in Ambassador House in Zurich North. This means that more than half of the total 38,000 sqm of office space in the commercial building has now been let.

The international shared office provider Spaces plans to operate a coworking area in Ambassador House on 2,000 square meters. This will be Spaces' third location in Switzerland: The company's first coworking space in this country opened in Geneva in July this year, followed by the second at Bleicherweg 10 in Zurich 200 meters from Paradeplatz at the beginning of October.
The integration of the Spaces concept into the office property in Opfikon creates a win-win situation, says Garry Gürtler, Managing Director of Spaces Switzerland. The tenants in Ambassador House would have access to immediately available alternative or additional space. Spaces customers, in turn, would benefit from the infrastructure and services offered by the property. For example, SV Switzerland will operate a staff restaurant on the first floor of the building, as well as a daytime café and an espresso bar. A conference center with auditorium, a fitness club and a crèche are also part of the general infrastructure.
Ambassador House is one of the largest commercial buildings in Switzerland and is currently being completely renovated. The space is due to be handed over to tenants and service providers in December 2017, with the opening planned for early 2019. A good half of the 38,000 sqm of office space is currently let. The telecommunications provider Sunrise will occupy 17,000 square meters, as was announced a few weeks ago.
The property is owned by the real estate funds Credit Suisse Real Estate Fund Interswiss, UBS Swiss Mixed "Sima" and UBS Swiss Residential "Anfos". CBRE Switzerland has been commissioned to market the property.
