Zurich: Implenia awarded general contractor contract for Wolkenwerk residential project

Leutschenbach AG is building three high-rise residential buildings in Zurich-Oerlikon. Implenia has been entrusted with the general contractor mandate for the project called Wolkenwerk.

Designed by Staufer & Hasler Architekten and Ballmoos Krucker Architekten, the Wolkenwerk project envisages more than 300 condominiums in three towers: from studios and garden apartments to penthouse maisonettes. In addition, the company Nyffenegger Armaturen will house its production in one of the basement floors.

The project will be built and certified according to the Minergie standard. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for the end of August 2017. The first acceptances are planned for the end of 2019, the staggered occupation will start at the beginning of 2020.

Implenia will build the three high-rise residential buildings and the basement floors as general contractor for Leutschenbach AG. According to Implenia, the construction volume is around CHF 150 million. In Zurich North, the company is currently building another high-rise, the Andreasturm.
