Rhystadt AG Appoints Head of Development
Birgit Hattenkofer is moving from Pensimo to join the owner of the Klybeck site, a large industrial redevelopment area in Basel.
Rhystadt AG has appointed Birgit Hattenkofer as Chief Construction & Development Officer and a member of the Executive Board, effective January 2027. For the past ten years, she served as Head of Development at Pensimo Management AG. Other career stops included Zug Estates AG and Intep – Integrale Planung GmbH, an internationally active consulting and research firm specializing in sustainable development. «It was here, nearly 20 years ago, that she first became professionally involved with Basel through her concept for the renovation and modernization of the St. Jakobshalle,» writes Rhystadt.
As announced in May, Munzur Halis will join the company in November as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Board. «With these new additions to its team, Rhystadt AG is preparing for the next stages of development,» said the company that owns the Klybeck site in Basel. Rhystadt expects a legally binding zoning plan to be in place by the end of 2028.
