BLKB Fund Management: Ulrich Prien Joins the Board of Directors
Prien served as Head of Real Estate Switzerland at KPMG until April and will become the third member of the board of directors of the BLKB subsidiary.
Ulrich Prien was elected as the third member of the Board of Directors at the extraordinary general meeting of BLKB Fund Management. This appointment will «further strengthen the strategic real estate expertise within the fund management company,» according to the subsidiary of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank. Prien brings many years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, and corporate governance. From 2008 to April 2026, he was a partner and head of the Real Estate division at KPMG AG. He holds a degree in architecture from ETH Zurich, a Master’s degree (MAS) in Management, Technology, and Economics from ETH Zurich, and a Swiss federal certificate as a real estate appraiser. Ulrich Prien is also a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
