The real estate company Redevco has appointed Rowan Verwoerd as Head of Asset & Transaction Management DACH and Country Head DACH. The former Managing Director and Head Portfolio Management DACH will take up his new position on October 1. He will also become a member of Redevco's pan-European management group.

Verwoerd has worked for Redevco since 2004 and held various management positions before spending several years in Shanghai as Vice President Operations for C&A China from 2011 to 2017. He returned to Redevco in Düsseldorf in 2017 in a senior portfolio management position. "Together with our teams, we will continue our successful work, further develop and expand our portfolio and introduce new business areas," says Verwoerd. He succeeds Lars Heese, who is leaving the company after eight years. Under his leadership, the former Redos - one of the German market leaders in the retail park segment - was integrated into the Redevco Group.

As of April 1, Redevco manages a portfolio worth EUR 10.5 billion. The investment strategies target the conversion of prime inner-city retail properties into mixed-use space, retail parks and logistics as well as a growing corporate portfolio in the residential segment. In addition, as the real estate debt arm of the company, Redevco Capital Partners provides transitional financing for special situations. The company has a total of seven offices across Europe.
