The Small Burgerrat of the City of Bern has elected Simon Hosmann as the new Domain Manager. The current deputy domain manager will take on his new role in summer 2026, succeeding Ueli Grindat, who will then retire.

Hosmann has been Head of Building Rights and Portfolio Management at Burgergemeinde Bern since October 2019 and Deputy Domain Manager since January 2021. He will take on his new role from June 1. "Hosmann has outstanding industry and specialist knowledge and a keen understanding of political dynamics and processes," writes the Burgergemeinde in a press release.

Before joining the Burgergemeinde, Hosmann worked for various companies in the real estate and construction industry. He graduated from a business school and subsequently trained in the real estate sector to become a real estate trustee. He is currently completing an Executive Master's degree in "Strategic Management and Leadership" at the University of Bern. Hosmann has been teaching various real estate courses on a part-time basis since 2015. (aw)
